Can You Use Your Own Serum With a Micro-Infusion System?

Micro-Infusion FAQ

It can be tempting to pour a favorite serum into a micro-infusion applicator, but not every skincare formula is designed for use with every device. Compatibility matters more than how good a serum is in a normal topical routine.

Why “good serum” does not automatically mean “compatible serum”

Skincare products are formulated for different application methods. A serum designed to be spread on intact skin may have a texture, ingredient profile, or packaging system that was never intended for a micro-infusion applicator.

Follow the system directions

ReGlow is designed as a complete system with a compatible facial serum, applicator, and single-use treatment head. Using the supplied formula removes guesswork about fit, flow, and intended use.

Be careful with strong actives

Retinoids, strong exfoliating acids, and other intensive actives are not appropriate additions simply because they work well elsewhere in your skincare routine. ReGlow recommends pausing strong actives for about 2–3 days after a session.

What is in the ReGlow serum?

The current formula includes hyaluronic acid, hydrolyzed hyaluronic acid, hydrolyzed collagen, Oligopeptide-1, cosmetic peptides, Malus domestica extract, ergothioneine, carnosine, and botanical cosmetic ingredients.

The simplest rule

Use the formula designed for the system unless the manufacturer explicitly states that another product is compatible. More experimentation is not necessarily better skincare.

Frequently asked questions

Can I put retinol in a micro-infusion applicator?

Do not improvise with strong actives. Use the formula intended for the system.

Can I use hyaluronic acid from another brand?

Only if the device manufacturer explicitly says it is compatible. ReGlow recommends its supplied serum.

Why does ReGlow include its own serum?

So the applicator and formula are designed as one routine rather than unrelated components.
