Micro-Infusion Aftercare Timeline: Makeup, Sun & Skincare Actives

After an at-home micro-infusion session, the best routine is usually the simplest one. For the ReGlow Micro Infusion System, the recommended aftercare is to avoid makeup for 24 hours, avoid direct sun for 24–48 hours, and pause strong skincare actives for 2–3 days. ReGlow sessions should also be spaced about 7–14 days apart.

First 24 Hours: Keep the Routine Simple

Right after a ReGlow session, avoid adding unnecessary layers or introducing new products. Let the skin settle and keep your routine focused on gentle hydration.

  • Skip makeup for the first 24 hours.
  • Avoid strong exfoliating acids, retinoids and other intense actives.
  • Avoid rubbing, picking or repeatedly touching the treated area.
  • Use only gentle products that are already compatible with your skin.

24–48 Hours: Be Careful With Direct Sun

ReGlow recommends avoiding direct sun for 24–48 hours after a micro-infusion session. When you return to your normal daytime skincare routine, continue using the sun-protection habits that are appropriate for your skin and daily activities.

This is also a good time to keep the routine uncomplicated. More products do not necessarily mean a better post-treatment routine.

Days 2–3: When Can You Restart Retinol, AHA or BHA?

Strong actives should generally stay out of the routine for 2–3 days after using the ReGlow system. That includes retinoids and stronger exfoliating acids such as AHA or BHA products. When you restart them, return gradually rather than stacking several intense products at once.

If your skin still feels unusually sensitive, wait until it feels back to normal before returning to stronger products.

When Can You Use Micro-Infusion Again?

Do not treat micro-infusion like a daily skincare step. ReGlow recommends spacing sessions approximately every 1–2 weeks. Giving the routine a consistent schedule also makes it easier to avoid accidentally combining a session with too many exfoliating or intensive skincare steps.
