The hair growth cycle

Every hair follicle cycles independently through four phases. Treatments timed every 7–14 days support follicles during their most receptive windows.

Anagen — Active Growth
2–7 years · 85–90% of follicles
The active growth phase. Hair cells divide rapidly. The follicle is anchored deep in the dermis. Growth-support actives — peptides, adenosine, caffeine — are most effective here, signaling the follicle to stay in growth phase longer.
Catagen — Transition
2–3 weeks · ~1% of follicles
The transitional phase. Hair growth stops, the follicle detaches from its blood supply, and the hair shaft hardens. DHT modulators like Saw Palmetto may support a healthier transition environment.
Telogen — Resting
2–3 months · 10–15% of follicles
The resting phase. Old hair is retained while a new hair begins forming beneath. Scalp-calming actives create an optimal environment for the follicle to re-enter Anagen.
